It's been seriously busy, let me tell you why....
Last week I submitted around 30,000 thousand words for my first PhD viva voce. It's a report plus supporting documents providing evidence of research and progress. A 'viva voce' is italian, literally meaning 'live voice', to make ones voice alive or active. In other words, you have to talk. It's essentially an interview, or it generally feels more like an interrogation to defend your work so far and is taken place usually mid way of your PhD studies, but mine is happening before the end of 10 months!
You submit your documents a few weeks before the examination (consisting of a impartial panel of 2 persons) and they are supposed to read, analyse, critique and prepare questions to interrogate you during your exam.
There are only 2 vivas.. this mid-way viva to report on progress, and the FINAL one.
So this is ROUND ONE (*^o^*) よし!
Great fun! So if you're wondering why I've not been updating either of my blogs much, this is why...
For those who follow my Instagram or Twitter, you probably already know this (*^^*)
So, I'll be back soon! After all this is accomplished and I've rocked this world with my presence (*^.~*)
