小龍女的世界之鋼琴小公主: Biography

Currently a PhD Researcher in Strategic Management after finishing a MSc in International Business, she graduated with a First Class in her Final Recital from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (UK) where she gained a scholarship to study on the Undergraduate Music Degree course.

Representative on the Committee for Postgraduate Research Students in the Faculty of Business and Law.
Will become an Associate Lecturer starting September 2012.

Began learning to play the piano at eight years of age and gained Grade 8 Distinction at the age of thirteen.

Two years later she achieved an ABRSM Diploma in solo performance.

Since she was fifteen she studied the piano privately with Michael Young. She has also studied with Yekaterina Lebedeva at the college and recently studied with Richard Ormrod.

Has played in many masterclasses taken by distinguished artists such as Polina Leschenko, Julian Jacobson, Philip Fowke, Leon McCawley, Richard Ormrod, Fazliddin Husanov, Natalia Romenska, Ivan Ilic, Roger Owens, Richard McMahonand Bernard Roberts amongst many others.

She also receives coaching and masterclasses for her experimental and free improvisation performing from major artists of this field such as Keith Tippett, Paula Gardiner and Anto Pett (Estonia).

Previously a Bath Young Musician of the Year finalist (2004) and also Regional Winner of the EPTA(UK) competition, she has also entered the annual Concerto Trials at the college with the Ravel Piano Concerto in G and Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor .

She also features regularly on the "Tesco Stage" of the Glanfa Foyer at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, Wales.

In 2008 she won the RWCMD's prestigious Julian Jacobson Prize for solo piano.

Has featured on the Glanfa Stage with Keith Tippett at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff (Wales) performing a Free Improvisation work as part of the college's free improvisation debut.

She freelances in Bristol, playing for University Orchestras with repertoire including recent performances of Shostakovich Symphony No.5 and Respighi Pines of Rome.
