Snow day... 18th January 2013

A place I walked through near my home..

Today was beautiful.

I went for a walk in the crunchy snow, freshly laid, about 6 inches thick.
It was still snowing heavily and it was freezing cold, but it was refreshing, soothing, calming.

I'm glad 2012 has gone, it was a busy year; eventful, perhaps a bit stressful. And whilst I'm typing this I am hoping that 2013 will be better, for all of us. But I know it's going to be another manically busy year.

The schools and universities were all closed today, we are expecting snow throughout the weekend and the following week. I wonder how much will accumulate. The snow was fluffy and crisp, so pure, so white. It's going to get muddy and disgusting soon, I can imagine.

I have been meaning to write for a while, but life gets in the way and 'me time' soon becomes invaded.
There's so much I want to say and to write here and yet so much of it I just want to throw away or lock it away inside me. Subsequently, I am not sure what to write anymore, and what people should read here.

But today was beautiful.. it really was.
And I hope it'll only get even better and more beautiful...
